Dr. Greg Weech D.V.M.

      Dr. Greg Weech has owned and operated Galesburg Animal Hospital since 1983. He is a 1969 graduate of Knoxville High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois in 1973. In 1978 he earned his doctorate degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He began his veterinary career in Paducah, Kentucky, where he met his wife Pam. After marrying, they moved to Louisville, Kentucky where Dr. Weech gained three years of emergency experience in a large, 24 hour emergency clinic. His expertise in small animal and exotic care is unmatched in the Galesburg area.
      Dr. Weech is the veterinary supervisor over lab animal research at Knox College. He is a member of the Illinois Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
      Within the community, Dr. Weech is a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He plays keyboards for Rootabaga Jammmers. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys coin collecting.
      Dr. Weech and wife, Pam, have three daughters, Amy, Emma and Mandy, two sons-in-law and two grandchildren. Currently, the youngest daughter is attending University of Illinois in Champaign, majoring in Animal Science. She will apply to the U of I School of Veterinary Medicine the summer of 2010. She may possibly join the practice after receiving her D.V.M. degree. Dr. Weech's other family members include Sylvia, a siamese mix, Serena and Simba, both domestic short hairs and Cubby, a Pomeranian.

      The animal hospital is home for Tippy, the box turtle.

Pam Weech, Hospital Manager

      Pam has managed the animal hospital since she and Dr. Weech bought the practice in 1983. She graduated from Paducah Tighlman High School in Paducah, Ky in 1972, then took computer and accounting classes at Paducah Community College. She worked for Petter Supply Company for 7 years until she met Dr. Weech. They were married in 1979 and eventually moved to Louisville, KY. Pam worked for another wholesale supply company and an oil company while living in Louisville. She worked as a sales secretary and as purchasing controller within these companies which granted her much expericence in the operations of business.
      Within the animal hospital, Pam's duties include bookkeeping, ordering supplies, overseeing all staff, procedures management, and public relations.
      Within the community, Pam is a founding board member and past president of Galesburg Christian School Assoc., Inc. and member of Bethel Baptist Church.
