Meet Our Staff
Pam Weech, Practice Manager
Pam has managed the animal hospital since 1982 when she and Dr. Weech purchased the practice. She is originally from Paducah, Kentucky but has called Galesburg her home since moving here. Pam’s duties include bookkeeping, staffing, procedures management and public relations. In the community, Pam is a founding board member and past president (twice) of Galesburg Christian School. She now carries the title of board member emeritus since she still plays an active role in development and marketing for GCS. She is an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime is interacting with her 3 grown daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Marla Bell, Head Receptionist, Inventory Manager
Marla has been with the practice for over 20 years! She first worked as a kennel attendant while in high school. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois in 2000. Since her return that year, Marla has served as receptionist and veterinary assistant. More recently, she took the task of managing inventory and serves as our head receptionist. Marla does an excellent job serving clients, overseeing specialized billing and monitoring controlled drug logs. She lives in Oneida and loves her cat Taco Bell.
Nacole Hawk, Veterinary Assistant
Nacole joined our team in the fall of 2015. She serves as veterinary assistant and receptionist. Nacole has 2 dogs, Stryker, a German Shepherd and Kronos, a Staffordshire Terrier, and a cat, Hemi and a bearded dragon, Harley.
Nancy Yeutson, Veterinary Technician
Nancy has been with Galesburg Animal Hospital since April 2000. She started as a kennel attendant at a very early age and has progressed to serve as an exam room assistant and lab technician.
She has an associate's degree in early education. Nancy is married to Johan and they have two young boys. She and her husband raise goats, chickens, pigs and ducks. They enjoy growing organic vegetables. Johan works for the railroad and both attend The First Church of Nazarene. Nancy has two dogs. One is a rescue with only 3 legs.
Jen Brandenburg, Veterinary Technician, Receptionist
Jennefer has been with Galesburg Animal Hospital since May 2003. She comes in on a part time basis since becoming a mom recently. But, Jen served as full time head veterinary technician here for 12 years. She lives on a farm in Altona with her husband, Wesley. She has extensive experience in raising and training horses and coonhounds. She is a member of The Appaloosa Horse Club and The International Arabian Horse Association. Jen owns several Blue Tick Coonhounds.
Amanda Morris, Veterinary Assistant
Amanda joined the practice in March of 2010 as a part time kennel attendant. Amanda is a full time nurse at OSF St. Mary’s, but she continues to help on Saturdays as a veterinary assistant. Amanda lives in Rio with her husband, Ed, and their numerous pets, including their two beagles, Rusty and Maggie. Amanda and Ed have three little boys.
Lindsay Wulf, Certified Professional Groomer
Lindsay grew up in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. She and her husband, Gene, married since August 2012, have 2 farms and raise crops and livestock, including cows, sheep, goats, chickens and pigs. Together, they have 4 dogs and 1 cat. They are both members of Calvary Assembly Church of God. Lindsay is passionate about 3 things, the animals in her care, plants surrounding her, and her love of Jesus is evident.
Lindsay received her grooming certificate from Penn Foster and is experienced in grooming all breeds and cats. Extra pampering services include de-shedding treatments, relaxing blueberry facials, teeth brushing and de-matting and scissoring.
Madison Shultz, Certified Professional Groomer
Madison is a pet stylist with nearly 9 years of experience. She strives to provide high quality, compassionate grooming and delights in making the spa day a meaningful experience for both you and your pet. Madison joined our team in 2018 offering Saturday grooming and speedy appointments since we now have two groomers on staff.
She and her husband and young son live in Maquon.
Miranda King, Kennel Manager
Miranda has been on staff as kennel attendant since early 2009. During the summer of 2015, she was promoted to Kennel Manager. She oversees scheduling and the work done by other kennel care takers.
Miranda graduated from the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers where she took a special interest in training police dogs. This is fitting since her husband, Keith is a county sheriff deputy. She owns a German Shepherd, Armor, who is a Certified Narcotic Detection Dog. Miranda also enjoys her many birds and reptiles.
Scarlett Congdon, Kennel Attendant
Scarlet is a recent GHS grad. She is a part time kennel attendant. She has a German Shepherd mix and an Australian Shepherd mix at home.
