Meet Our Staff

Pam Weech
Practice Manager
Pam has managed the animal hospital since 1982. Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, she now resides in Galesburg. Her responsibilities include bookkeeping, staffing, procedures management, and public relations. Pam is a founding board member and past president of Galesburg Christian School, and an active Bethel Baptist Church member. She enjoys spending time with her three daughters and six grandchildren. She lives with Dr. Weech, Pearl the miniature poodle, and Sassy the siamese cat.

Marla Bell
Inventory, Business Manager/ Lead CSR
Marla has been with the practice for over 25 years. She is cross-trained in all departments, starting as a kennel technician in high school and graduating with a degree in animal science from the University of Illinois in 2000. Marla has served as a veterinary assistant, client service representative, and now works as a lead CSR, bookkeeper, inventory, and IT manager. She lives in Oneida and enjoys reading and playing brain games.

Amanda Crozier
Receptionist
Amanda joined in 2020 and handles special projects such as auditing rabies certificates, sending welcome postcards, and other administrative tasks. She is from Knoxville, has two daughters, Emerson and Lakin, and two cats, Oreo and Milo. In the summer, she enjoys boating with her family at Oak Run.

Michelle Swise
Receptionist
Michelle has been on our reception team since August 2019. She loves pets and she loves people. You won’t go wrong if Michelle serves you during your visit with us.
Michelle has a college degree as a pharmaceutical technician which served her well when she began learning about pharmaceuticals on the veterinary side of things.
She is a Knoxville High School grad and her children, Brayden, Joe, Nick, Payton and Dannika have attended Knoxville schools. Her furry family members are Jolene, a bull mastiff, 2 yorkshire terriers, Diva and Albert plus the cats, Sasha and Babushka.

Amanda Smith
Certified Senior Veterinary Assistant
Amanda has been with us since 2015. She became certified in the spring of 2019 and recently earned the title of one of our senior assistants. She has expertise with blood draws and takes great care as she maintains our in-house laboratory equipment.
Amanda is married to Scott. She has 2 grown children and one grandchild and cares for one dog and 7 cats. She likes playing video games, especially Zelda. She also enjoys reading and getting tattoos.

Nancy Yeutson
Senior Veterinary Assistant
Nancy has an associate degree in early education. She is married and cares for 4 children, 3 dogs, 4 cats and lots of chickens. And, she loves roller coasters.

Jen Brandenburg
Department Operations Supervisor
Jen lives on a farm in Altona with her husband and son. She has extensive experience in raising and training horses and coonhounds. She is a member of The Appaloosa Horse Club and The International Arabian Horse Association. She and Wes are home to several cats, coon hounds and 2 young Cavalier King Charles spanials.

Nacole Hawk
Veterinary Assistant
Nacole joined our team in the fall of 2015. She is a favorite with many of our pet parents.
Nacole has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. She cares for 2 dogs, Mazikeen, a Staffordshire Terrier and Keva, an American Bully. She is a volunteer firefighter and EMT in her spare time.

Savannah Money
Veterinary Assistant
Savannah joined our team in November 2024 when she moved to Galesburg from the Chicago area. She worked as an assistant in a large specialty hospital there.
Savannah enjoys prepping patients for surgery and working with the doctors in the exam rooms.
She has a mixed breed dog named Luna and 3 cats, Layz, Jax and Minx. Savannah and her boyfriend enjoy attending concerts.

Jaclyn Slater
Certified Pet Stylist
Jaclyn joined our team in October 2023. She became certified and has been grooming professionally since July 2022. She loves giving dogs and cats haircuts, caring for them and making them feel safe and loved! Jaclyn says she is great at doing Deshed treatments and styling Doodles!
Her fur babies are Ivy, a rescued beagle/pit mix, Honey, a long haired orange tabby rescue, Luna, a black cat, Prince, a black & white rescue cat and Milo, a grey tabby rescue.
Jaclyn has always loved all types of animals.She grew up helping her dad on the farm with their sheep. Her family had many bottle babies over the years. All but one of her animals are rescues.

Maria Straitiff
Certified Pet Stylist
She lives in Monmouth with her husband, Nathan and two young daughters, Adelilne and Avalea. Her cat, Smitters and bearded dragon, Spike are family members too. Maria is originally from Gulfshores, Alabama. She loves long walks, gardening, house plants, cooking and art and recently started grooming fainting show goats.

Miranda King
Kennel Manager
Miranda graduated from the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers where she took a special interest in training police dogs. This is fitting since her husband, Keith, is a county sheriff deputy. She owns several dogs and cats and also enjoys her many birds and reptiles. Miranda and Keith have a beautiful young daughter.

Ryan Walker
Kennel Technician
Ryan is in high school and joined our team early summer 2024. He walks dogs, cleans kennels and the hospital and handles the animals very well.
He enjoys his 2 dogs, Dunken & Lucy who he says are quite rowdy! 3 cats and a lizard also live at his home. An interesting family fact is that his parents were both in the military.

James Miller
Kennel Technician
James is a high school student and joined our team of kennel technicians early in the summer of 2024. He does a great job walking dogs and cleaning on the evening and weekend shifts.

Cheyenne Baldwin
Kennel Technician & Bather
Cheynee joined our team in September 2024. She is an animal lover and takes care of all the animals in our care. She also assists the groomer by bathing dogs and cats. Cheyenne cleans the whole hospital and even enjoys doing it.
She has a Belgian Shepherd named Buddy and a boyfriend, Jeramy. Her family have a passion for homeless dogs and have rescued many of them.

Amanda Rose
Receptionist
Amanda joined our team early in 2025. She is very friendly and enjoys serving everyone by scheduling appointments, answering questions and performing all the administration duties that come with the job.
Her pets are Calvin, an orange long hair tabby and Clyde, a black long hair tabby.
Outside working hours, Amanda enjoys attending her church and volunteers by running the livestream and music service every Sunday.

Sierrah Lucero
Receptionist
Sierrah joined us early in 2025. She has a veterinary assistant certification from Black Hawk Community College.
Sierrah prides herself in ensuring all clients have a positive experience! Client communication, scheduling and billing are her strengths. Something she does best is staying calm in stressful situations and helping clients through it while also doing all that she can for their animal.
Sierrah is married to Joey and has a young daughter Lucy. Her fur baby family includes 6 chickens, 1 guinea pig, 1 leopard gecko, a whites tree frog and 2 boxers, Oliver and Grace.
She is originally from Orange County California, but has also lived in Washington State.
