Pam Weech

Pam Weech

Practice Manager

Pam has managed the animal hospital since 1982 when she and Dr. Weech purchased the practice. She is originally from Paducah, Kentucky but has called Galesburg her home since moving here. Pam’s duties include bookkeeping, staffing, procedures management and public relations. In the community, Pam is a founding board member and past president of Galesburg Christian School. She is an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime is interacting with her 3 grown daughters and 6 grandchildren. Living with her and Dr. Weech is Pearl, their miniature poodle and Sassy, their siamese cat.

Head Receptionist, Inventory and Business Manager

Marla has been with the practice for over 25 years! She first worked as a kennel attendant while in high school, then graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Illinois in 2000. Since her return that year, Marla served as a veterinary assistant and receptionist.

Every business needs a tech savy person on staff. Marla fills that niche for us. She manages inventory and has also mastered our other software applications, i.e.online pharmacy, PetDesk reminder system and veterinary software. As a head receptionist, she does an excellent job serving all of you and overseeing other receptionists. Marla lives in Oneida and loves her cat Taco Bell.

Amanda joined our team in 2020. She has a very calming personality which is quite helpful when a pet parent is anxious or worried about their pet’s illiness or injury. Additionally, Amanda uses her strong administrative skills to ensure your pet’s rabies certificates are accurate before sending them to the county for registration.

Amanda grew up in Knoxville and has two lovely young daughters, Emerson and Lakin. Her furry family members are Oreo and Milo, both beautiful cats.

She loves spending time with her family at Oak Run lake boating during the summer.

Michelle has been on our reception team since August 2019.  She loves pets and she loves people.  You won’t go wrong if Michelle serves you during your visit with us.

Michelle has a college degree as a pharmaceutical technician which served her well when she began learning about pharmaceuticals on the veterinary side of things.

She is a Knoxville High School grad and her children, Brayden, Joe, Nick, Payton and Dannika have attended Knoxville schools. Her furry family members are Jolene, a bull mastiff, 2 yorkshire terriers, Diva and Albert plus the cats, Sasha and Babushka.

Certified Senior Veterinary Assistant

Amanda has been with us since 2015. She became certified in the spring of 2019 and recently earned the title of one of our senior assistants. She has expertise with blood draws and takes great care as she maintains our in-house laboratory equipment.

Amanda is married to Scott. She has 2 grown children and one grandchild and cares for one dog and 7 cats. She likes playing video games, especially Zelda. She also enjoys reading and getting tattoos.

Senior Veterinary Assistant

Nancy has been with Galesburg Animal Hospital since April 2000. She started as a kennel technician at a very early age and progressed to serve as an exam room assistant and lab technician. Her years of experience have given her the distinction of earning the senior assistant title. Her specialty is in the proper restraint of dogs and cats, especially the big dogs.

Nancy has an associate degree in early education. She is married and cares for 4 children, 3 dogs, 4 cats and lots of chickens. And, she loves roller coasters.

Veterinary Technician

Jennefer has been with Galesburg Animal Hospital since May 2003. Jen has an immense amount of knowledge in the veterinary field and was certified as a veterinary technician in Wisconsin prior to moving to Illinois. She is your go to when you need to travel outside of the U.S and can help you navigate the paperwork and rules. Jen lives on a farm in Altona with her husband and son. She has extensive experience in raising and training horses and coonhounds. She is a member of The Appaloosa Horse Club and The International Arabian Horse Association and owns several Blue Tick Coonhounds.

Nacole joined our team in the fall of 2015. She is a favorite with many of our pet parents.

Nacole has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. She cares for 2 dogs, Mazikeen, a Staffordshire Terrier and Keva, an American Bully. She is a volunteer firefighter and EMT in her spare time.

Savannah joined our team in November 2024 when she moved to Galesburg from the Chicago area.  She worked as an assistant in a large specialty hospital there.

Savannah enjoys prepping patients for surgery and working with the doctors in the exam rooms.

She has a mixed breed dog named Luna and 3 cats, Layz, Jax and Minx. Savannah and her boyfriend enjoy attending concerts.

Brooke joined our team in November 2024 and has past experience working at animal clinics in Macomb, IL.  She loves cytology and all cat appointments.  She also loves doing blood draws.

She and her husband, Chance are pet parents to 2 dogs, Goose a Shih Tzu, and Mae a Chiweenie.  They have 3 pet snakes, 2 ball pythons named Beans and Frank, and a sand boa named Beebs. Brooke really enjoys art including creating tattoos on herself.  She loves all animals even reptiles. Caffeine and Monsters are her go to since she still lives in Macomb, but says she doesn’t mind the drive.

Jaclyn joined our team in October 2023. Jaclyn became certified and has been grooming professionally since July 2022. She has developed excellent skills in a short period of time. She says she loves giving dogs and cats haircuts, caring for them and loving them like they’re her own!

She has 4 dogs, Henry, Barney, Fritz and Dolly, and 4 cats, Callie, Honey, Luna and Milo of her own.

Kennel Manager

Miranda has been on staff as a kennel attendant since early 2009. During the summer of 2015, she was promoted to Kennel Manager. You can count on Miranda and her staff to keep the kennels clean and the animals well cared for!

Miranda graduated from the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers where she took a special interest in training police dogs. This is fitting since her husband, Keith, is a county sheriff deputy. She owns several dogs and cats and also enjoys her many birds and reptiles. Miranda and Keith have a beautiful young daughter.

Kaylee joined the kennel staff during the summer of 2023. She prides herself in taking good care of all the animals in her care.

She is married to Alex and they have a son, Greyson. Their favorite animal is their young German Shepherd mix, Nova.

Ryan is in high school and joined our team early summer 2024.  He walks dogs, cleans kennels and the hospital and handles the animals very well.

He enjoys his 2 dogs, Dunken & Lucy who he says are quite rowdy! 3 cats and a lizard also live at his home. An interesting family fact is that his parents were both in the military.

James is a high school student and joined our team of kennel technicians early in the summer of 2024.  He does a great job walking dogs and cleaning on the evening and weekend shifts.

Kennel Technician & Bather

Cheynee joined our team in September 2024.  She is an animal lover and takes care of all the animals in our care.  She also assists the groomer by bathing dogs and cats.  Cheyenne cleans the whole hospital and even enjoys doing it.

She has a Belgian Shepherd named Buddy and a boyfriend, Jeramy. Her family have a passion for homeless dogs and have rescued many of them.
