Greg Weech

Dr. Greg Weech has owned and operated Galesburg Animal Hospital since 1983. He is a 1969 graduate of Knoxville High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois in 1973. In 1978 he earned his doctorate degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He began his veterinary career in Paducah, Kentucky, where he met his wife Pam. After marrying, they moved to Louisville, Kentucky where Dr. Weech gained three years of emergency experience in a large, 24-hour emergency clinic. He is an accomplished surgeon in orthopedics and soft tissue surgeries that might otherwise be referred to specialists.  His expertise in small animal and exotic care is unmatched in the Galesburg area.

Dr. Weech is the veterinary supervisor over lab animal research at Knox College. He is a member of the Illinois Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Within the community, Dr. Weech is a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He loves the outdoors and is an avid fisherman. Dr. Weech and wife, Pam, have three grown daughters and five grandchildren and several grand furbabies. Many pets have been part of the Weech family over the years. Currently, Sassy, a female Siamese cat and Pearl, a poodle rule the house.

Dr. Quinn King graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2007 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. She graduated in the top 20% of her veterinary class and received a CVM Award of Academic Excellence. Her undergraduate work was completed at Illinois College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a combined major in Biology and Chemistry. There she was an active member of Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Tau Delta, and Beta Beta Beta (President 02-03).

Dr. King joined the practice as a full time associate in June 2007. She is a federally accredited veterinarian, a member of the Illinois Veterinary Medical Association, and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. King is a certified Fear-Free practitioner.

Dr. King is married to Nathan King who is employed at BNSF railroad. Both she and her husband attended area high schools. They have two children, Olivia and Ethan, who keep them busy in her time away from work.  Her family are members of Calvary Assembly and serve in many different areas in the church.  Their home is completed with two cats, Shelly and Beany, who were both rescued strays.
